Casper's half triathlon for Koroboi Foundation great success!
–
After weeks of preparation, Casper Kimman completed his Amsterdam half triathlon on 15 June. His sporting achievement was all about a sponsorship campaign for the Koroboi Foundation. It was a huge success!
Amid loud cheers from family and friends, Casper completed the 1.9km swim, 90km bike ride and 21.1km run in 6 hours and 11 minutes.
"It was quite spicy" Casper said afterwards. "The swimming and cycling went excellently, but the concluding 21 km of running were a bit gruelling at times. I felt tremendously supported by my girlfriend, family and friends and of course by the many sponsors who contributed for the Koroboi Foundation. I therefore never doubted for a moment that the race would go well".
Thank you very, very much everyone!!!
The sponsorship exceeded our wildest expectations. A total of 80 people donated and together we raised over €2 700 for St Mary Hospital. Donations are still coming in. With this amazing amount, we can not only finance new mattresses, but also contribute for new beds, lockers and mosquito nets for an entire ward.
The hospital is of course aware of the sponsorship campaign and they are extremely grateful to all the donors and Casper.
"On the evening of the triathlon, I received a recorded message from the Bishop of Bunda in Tanzania under whom the hospital falls. That was really super nice; he too thanked everyone who made this day such a great success."
Below is a collage of the day.

Really super done Casper. Congratulations and thank you!
Great Casper. Nice time too and great support along the way 🙂
