Joint action against poverty: Page toilet paper from Koroboi to Voedselbank Amersfoort
–
Once again, the company has Kimberly-Clark Koroboi Foundation surprised with a generous donation: a large batch of Page toilet paper. This donation, intended to raise funds for vulnerable people in Kibara (Tanzania), led this time to a special collaboration with the Food bank Amersfoort.
Koroboi Foundation contacted the joint deaconesses of Amersfoort-North, with whom warm ties had previously been established. In consultation with them and the board of the Voedselbank Amersfoort (Together against Poverty), it was decided not to sell the toilet paper donation, but to donate it directly to the Food Bank. In return, Koroboi Foundation received a generous donation to continue its work in Kibara.
Thanks to an extremely generous private donor as well as the combined efforts of the diaconates, this has become a wonderful example of working together locally and internationally against poverty.
On Tuesday, 10 June 2025, the pallets of toilet paper were festively handed over at the Food bank in Amersfoort. On behalf of Koroboi Foundation, secretary Raymond Kimman personally handed over the donation to Irene Vriens, board member of the Food Bank, and the volunteers present. The need for basic hygiene products such as toilet paper is great among the clients of the Voedselbank, so this donation was received with open arms and much gratitude.
Koroboi Foundation is grateful for the trust and cooperation. This action shows how solidarity transcends borders - from Amersfoort to Kibara.
