Kibara hospital is currently undergoing promising development. The progress we have seen this year is great for the local community and an encouraging example of what is possible with support and cooperation.
Koroboi Foundation is proud to play a role in these positive changes. We would like to share some recent improvements that promote the health, safety and well-being of the people of Kibara and its surroundings.
First, an important step has been taken in terms of hygiene and safety around the hospital. To keep out stray cattle and chickens, a simple barrier has been installed with posts and wire. This barrier prevents animals from entering or around the hospital, significantly improving hygiene and creating a safer environment for patients, staff and visitors.

In addition, the hospital received a beautiful refresh thanks to the efforts of a group of young volunteers from Spain. This group came to Kibara last summer and ensured that both the inside and outside of the hospital were repainted. This fresh look does good.
A major milestone for the hospital was the collaboration with the University of Valencia. This collaboration allows nurses and doctors to come to Kibara from Spain on a regular basis. These professionals not only provide essential medical care, but also contribute to the development of the local healthcare system by sharing their knowledge and experience. The arrival of these specialists has already had a noticeable impact on the quality of care at the hospital.

Great strides have also been made in terms of infrastructure. Thanks to a generous donation from Italy, a new maternity ward could be built. This new building also houses a modern X-ray machine, also funded from the same donation. These equipment and facilities are invaluable for the provision of care and enable the hospital to meet the growing demand for medical care.
Furthermore, with help from Koroboi Foundation, new beds could be purchased. The boxes are now ready to be unpacked, and the beds will soon add to the current capacity.
Increased confidence in healthcare has meant that the hospital now takes care of more than twice as many patients as last year. More people have gained access to proper medical care.
Finally, a new board has been appointed for the hospital since October 2024. This knowledgeable and dedicated group, consisting of local people, nurses and doctors, will monitor the hospital's course and ensure the quality of care. With their commitment and vision, we can be confident that the hospital will continue to be a stable and reliable source of medical care for the poor, sick and vulnerable people of Kibara and the surrounding areas.
We look forward to the upcoming December - newsletter in which we will report on the opening of the new maternity ward and the commissioning of the new beds. This has been made possible by the generous support of the friends of Koroboi Foundation. Thank you for that.
Together, let's keep building a better future for Kibara!
